Précis Writing + Title (20 Marks)

Read the passage carefully, compress it into a coherent précis, and propose an apt title.

What You Must Do
  • Capture the central argument; exclude examples and decorative phrasing.
  • Keep tone neutral; avoid personal opinion, commentary, or exaggeration.
  • Write a title that reflects the main idea, not a minor detail.
Compression Discipline
  • Target ~25–35% of original length (configurable from backend).
  • Use tight topic sentences; maintain logical order and strong linkages.
  • Remove repetition; keep key terms where they carry meaning.
Submission & Scoring
  • Marks reward fidelity, coherence, brevity, language correctness, and title aptness.
  • Exam mode locks your answer on submit; training mode shows rubric feedback.
  • Ideal block appears only after submission/grading (training mode).
